Professional Development

- When was the last request by this employee?
- Preference to those that have not requested, or not requested in the last year
- Dollar amount requested
- Reason
- Does the reason show a clear development opportunity that helps both the employee and the University?
- Available funds
- As of August 28, 2025, we are asking that members requesting Professional Development Funds request up to $2,000 for consideration. If near the end of the fiscal year, we still have funds to spend down, we would reach back out for additional requests. If your need is over $2,000, there is a field to note that. Our hope is that that field will allow us to reach out to you near the end of the fiscal year directly. However, it is encouraged you plan for alternate funding for the amount over $2,000 as additional funding isn’t guaranteed.

Equity
- We have an entirely new process with the new Agreement for equity. There is no longer an application for an equity adjustment. Per Article 24 of the Agreement, we have the following amount of equity money available:
- FY25: $75,000
- FY26: $70,000
- FY27: $65,000
- FY28: $60,000
- The goal of these funds is to help ensure all members are at CUPA median (see Article 24.6 for more). CUPA is a standardized way to associate job description(s) with the median salary of the job description(s).
- The equity committee (made up of union members and management) are using CUPA information and your job descriptions/responses to the survey and doing their best to utilize the above funds to begin bringing members to CUPA median. However, $75,000 this year and $70,000 next may not get to all of us. Hence why we are working to make this happen over the life of the Agreement. We appreciate your patience as we build and execute this.
